Our Stories
Anna Tasegian – Senior Scientist, Biology
My role at Amphista is…
As Senior Scientist in the Exploratory Biology I’ve been focusing on investigating the mode of action of Amphista degraders for our portfolio of programs, and exploring translational aspects of our degraders
I was drawn to join Amphista because…
When I decided to move away from academia, I did not think twice: Amphista was the place to be! I understood the amazing potential of protein degradation from working closely with the Amphista founders during my postdoctoral research at the MRC-PPU in Dundee. I wanted to contribute to their ideas and learn from the pioneers in the field.
The work we do at Amphista matters because…
Not only are we developing potent and innovative treatments to life-threatening diseases, but we are making groundbreaking discoveries, which are relevant to the wider TPD field, and enable us to understand how best to deploy our technology.
If I were to describe Targeted Protein Degradation/what TPD means to me in three words, they would be…
Transformative, Exciting, Evolving.
The best piece of advice I have ever received is..
Whatever happens, do your best.
When not at work, you are most likely to find me..
Out and about with my friends, in the outdoors, travelling to Italy and going to rock music gigs.
