Our Stories

Neil Stevenson – CMC Director

My role at Amphista is…

CMC Director. This means I look after how we develop the chemical synthesis to our degraders and the formulation in which they’re dosed to patients. I work closely with our external partners on how we scale these processes up from a few grams in the lab to multi kilograms on manufacturing scale, considering safety, cost and efficiency.

I was drawn to join Amphista because…

The passion for science is clear throughout the company. It’s such an exciting time for Amphista as we look to demonstrate our TPD approach in clinical trials. It’s the perfect time for me to use my experience within this phase of development, translating from discovery to clinic.

The work we do at Amphista matters because…

Like so many others, I have been personally affected by cancer. I believe that our approach provides a real opportunity to make a difference in this important field.

If I were to describe Targeted Protein Degradation/what TPD means to me in three words, they would be…

“Innovative exciting potential”

The best piece of advice I have ever received is..

“See change as an opportunity”.

When not at work, you are most likely to find me..

On a football pitch, in a park, or on a bike, trying to keep up with my kids who seem to keep getting faster!
